Under the tutelage of Beth Duff-Brown, the former AP bureau chief for South Asia, Nicole started her communications career at Stanford University in 2015. She quickly found her niche in multimedia visual storytelling, combining writing with photography, video, graphics, and more, then leveraging social media and newsletters to reach the right audience. Nicole is always on the lookout for new technologies that can break down the nuances of complex topics for modern viewers.
While covering health and international policy at Stanford, Nicole managed an array of social platforms, a Medium blog, and the World Class podcast. In 2019, she moved to Southeast Asia where she developed a communications plan for the UN’s Community-Based Enterprise Development program and interviewed more than 30 members of the Khmer Rouge Tribunal. Nicole is a UC Berkeley graduate and enjoys traveling, hiking, the beach, and Disneyland.
